Welcome to our new blog

Hello and Happy New Year to all our customers.

We hope everyone came through the holiday period unscathed.

We've decided to keep you all abreast with what we're up to in this blog from now on, so we hope you find it interesting.

James and I had a lovely 4 week break and went motor cruising from Hobart to Maria Island and back. We turned off our phones, didn't watch any TV - at all - had time to talk to each other about anything but work, did lots of lovely beach walks, and caught up with various friends along the way.

We are now back on board (pardon the pun) and the first week back we started the New Year with something a little different for us - collaborating with another contractor to work on an aluminium boat. The 12m fishing boat needs a full fitout and work has begun in the fo'c's'le making patterns for floors and curved trim pieces.

We have also been overhauling and test running a Nanni 3 cyl engine to go into a 9m wooden boat called "Avalon".

We've also removed a gas stove out of the fishing vessel "Helen Louise" from King Island. The area now has to be fitted and trimmed ready for a new electric stove. Leaking windows also need replacing and are scheduled for next year.

These leaking windows have been measured, CAD drawn and will be replaced at slipping next year

So we have a few things to be getting on with until we check in next time.

Remember to recommend us for any boat repairs, fitouts, caulking, window installations, leaking window repairs, etc. for any wooden boats and/or yachts (wooden or otherwise).

And in the meantime, safe sailing!!

Lisa
